Baba

There’s a closeness God desires to have with us, one that goes beyond formal prayers and distant religion. He invites us into intimacy, like a child with their father. Romans 8:15 tells us we’ve been adopted, and by that Spirit, we cry “Abba, Father.” That word, Abba, is deeply personal. It’s not just 'Father.' It’s 'Daddy.' It speaks of safety, nearness, and trust.

Many of us have carried father wounds, experiences of absence, distance, or fear. But God redefines fatherhood. He’s the Father who listens when you speak, stays when others leave, and covers you when life hurts. He doesn’t just want obedience, He wants relationship.

Today, come to Him not as a servant trying to earn love, but as a child already fully loved. You don’t need to have the perfect words. You don’t need to impress Him. Just come.

In His arms, you’ll find rest. In His voice, you’ll hear truth. And in His presence, you’ll remember who you are.

Reflection: Have you been approaching God like a servant or a son/daughter? How can you lean into His love more fully today?

Prayer: Abba, help me to rest in the truth that I am fully loved by You. Break down every wall I’ve built and let me experience the security of being Your child. Thank You for drawing near to me with kindness and covering me with Your peace. Amen.
