Restore | Day 4 | August 2, 2025

Daily

In a world that glorifies hustle and productivity, it’s easy to miss the beauty of the everyday. We’re always looking ahead, next week’s goal, next month’s plan, next year’s breakthrough. But Jesus teaches us to pray for 'daily bread.'

God doesn’t often give us the whole picture. He gives us what we need for today. Why? Because it keeps us close. It cultivates trust. It draws us into relationship.

Like the Israelites gathering manna in the wilderness, we receive just enough for the moment. Storing it up won’t work. But if we come each day, hungry, humble, and hopeful, we’ll be fed.

The invitation is to slow down. To pause. To meet God in the morning stillness or the nighttime silence. You don’t need to have a marathon devotion every day. But daily connection, even brief, can change your heart.

God is in the daily. Don’t miss Him there.

Reflection: What would it look like to intentionally meet with God today, just for today?

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to trust You for today. I don’t need all the answers for tomorrow, I just need Your presence right now. Teach me to depend on You daily, to walk closely, and to find joy in the simplicity of Your faithfulness. Amen.

Scripture:
Matthew 6
