Temple
In 1 Corinthians 6:19, Paul writes that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. This isn’t just a poetic idea, it’s a theological truth. Under the old covenant, God’s presence resided in the temple, a holy place set apart for worship. But now, through Christ, that same presence lives in you.
You are not ordinary. You carry God’s Spirit within you. This truth should impact how you view yourself and others. It calls us to holiness, not out of fear, but honor. Your life, your choices, your words; they’re part of how you carry the presence of God into the world.
You’re set apart and worthy of value. So when the enemy tries to shame you, remind him who resides in you. When culture tries to define you, go back to what God says: you are His dwelling place.
Treat yourself and others with reverence, not perfection, but with purpose. Because the God who created the heavens has chosen to make His home in you.
Reflection: What would change in your life if you truly believed you were God’s temple?
Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for choosing to dwell in me. Help me see myself through Your eyes, as holy, set apart, and loved. Teach me to honor You with my thoughts, my body, and my actions. Make me a living temple that reflects Your glory. Amen.
